Our mission is to develop relationships with the familes and individuals in the local community. This is initially  done by  meeting  immediate need through the medical, feeding and family programs.

Our ultimate goal is to guide people into a personal and trusting relationship with Christ.  

Who We Are

In December 2001, we started as an Hispanic ministry inside of South Louisviile Christian church, located a 1/4 of a mile from Churchill Downs.

On Jan 1 2006, He Visto la Luz Christian held it's service in a small rented storefront building occupied previously by a cuban restaurant. Surrounded by a multi-cultural community of people from over 30 nationalities, HVLL began a large number of outreach activities partnering with the local elementary school and area businesses.

 Dozens of volunteers and churches from the Louisville area teamed up to host medical clinics, food & clothing distribution and family friendly festivals. Each activity was designed to form relationships and share the powerful message of the gospel.

In March of 2009, HVLL moved to a 16,000 sq. ft. retail location in order to provided greater services and opportunities to the multi-cultural community.

This new location has 5 complete medical examination rooms available to host a variety of dental, medical, vision and any other type of healthcare needs. In addition the new church facilities has the capacity to host a number of simultaneous conferences and outreach programs.

In the fall of 2009, HVLL will begin offering a complete 3 year degree Bible College program in Spanish. This program is accredited by the Logos Christian University in Jacksonville Florida.
